Did you ever wonder how all the Hollywood Celeberities wore that perfect ponytail on the Red Carpet?

It is easy to just pull the hair back into a ponytail but the trick is how to make it look so perfect.  Here are some easy steps to help give you that Red Carpet Look.

Step 1.

Apply a small amount of smoothing serum and blow dry the hair straight and smooth. ( I personally recommend Moroccanoil Treatment, love this product :)) Then lightly mist the hair with a flexible hold hairspray.

Step 2.

To give the hair a little bit of lift & volume seperate the hair into sections and backcomb each section. The more you backcomb the hair the more volume you will get.  Don’t worry how messy it looks right now the next step you will smooth it out.

Step 3.

Using a bristle brush (Denman Brush works great) smooth your hair into the desired location of your ponytail – side, top of the head, or by the nape of the neck.  It’s important to remember not to use a vent type brush or you will not get that smooth look you are trying to achieve.

Step 4

Once you smoothed your hair back to the designated area, you will want to match the hair tie to the color of the hair and secure the pony tail.

Step 5

Once the hair is secured take a small section of the ponytail, spray that section with hairspray and wrap it around the hair band and secure it with a bobby pin.

VOILA!

There is your PERFECT PONYTAIL!!
